Europe's largest inland sea, the Mar Menor is one of Europe's finest nature reserves. A crystal-clear saltwater lagoon with islands, beautiful beaches and unique flora and fauna. The therapeutic sea salts and minerals have health giving benefits. The shallow sea (up to 7 meters deep) is pleasantly warm, and the seawater reaches the temperature of the Caribbean sea in the summer, 30 degrees Celsius. Around the Mar Menor are several mud baths, the medicinal benefits of the baths was as much appreciated in ancient times as it is now. Several of the beaches around the Mar Menor are awarded the "blue flag” certifications of the European Union.

It is without doubt one of the best places in the world to relax and enjoy the clear calm water or enjoy various water sports such as sailing, canoeing, water skiing, scuba diving or wind surfing.
